Stay tuned for the date of the 2013 race!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a great success! Please continue to pray for those who are victims of sex trafficking. Pray that they would be given a strong sense of hope, and be healed by the power and love of Jesus Christ.
LOCAL IMPACT
Have you looked around Beaver County lately? Who lives here? We have an amazing opportunity to reach out to the world in our own backyard. What needs move you with compassion? At CEFC, we have carefully selected local ministries to help us reach our community. Meet our local partners and serve with us through them:
PRISM:
Pittsburgh Region International Student Ministries. A ministry that reaches out to internationals in the surrounding Pittsburgh area (university setting) with the intention to share the Gospel.
Tiger Pause:
Tiger Pause is a Christ-centered, community-based organization that serves Beaver County’s young people and their families. Their desire is to provide individuals from all walks of life with opportunities to participate in quality programs that help them reach their God-given potential.
This after-school program tutors children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade from the Beaver Falls School District -- generally meeting Monday through Thursday from 3:30 - 6 p.m. You can contact the Tiger Pause office at 724.843.2384 for more information.
Soup Kitchen:
The Soup Kitchen is a Partnership with First Presbyterian Church in Beaver Falls and usually provides more than 100 meals a week. We help on the 5th Wednesday of the month.
Friendship Ridge Nursing Facility:
Crimson Line Auxiliary
There is a wide variety of opportunities to serve in such as helping residents with group activities, meeting one-on-one to play games, read or have conversation, work in the snack bar, etc. If you might like to hear more about the opportunities at Friendship Ridge, contact Mary Sheaver at 724.770.3220.
MISSIONS
In addition to the local outreach ministries of the church, we also support 15 missionary families who serve in many countries of the world. We are committed to having a global impact through the faithfulness and service of these missionaries. Please click on a continent to learn more about our missionaries:
GLOBAL OUTREACH (GO) TEAMS
GO Teams refer to our short-term mission trips as well as the teams of people working in local ministries and community projects. These teams help us match outreach opportunities with the skills and talents of our congregation.
